A giant chicken perched
beside the highway:
we scream with laughter
screech to a halt, U-turn
and take pictures to show
our chickens back home.
They cluck with concern
for the poor mainlander fowl
letting herself go like that:
but I think they secretly wish
they could lay such a Big Egg
that no one can take it away.
